Set in a Glasgow public wash-house (Steamie) one Hogmanay in the 1950’s, The Steamie is the setting where four women of various backgrounds, ages and personalities gather together to do their last laundry of the year.  The women share jokes and memories, talk about their menfolk, their hopes for the future while singing a few songs along the way.

The Steamie is sad, nostalgic but also very, very funny.

The cast is as follows:

Doreen – Laura Barnes
Magrit – Kay Brown
Dolly – Linda McLaren
Mrs Culfeathers – Helen Shearer
Andy – James Dobbie

The play will be directed by Drew Barnett.
